Now that the Noughties have finally been pushed away we can look ahead at the next 10 years to see what kind of fashions will come into play this year.
What are the main trends going to be for 2010 and why are they coming in now of all times?
Interior Design
People are not looking to splash out on very expensive furniture this year so that means giant shops like IKEA are sure to see a drop in some of their sales. As well as this it would seem that the 60s and 70s will be in because they last for such a long period of time. Bedroom furniture is set to be on the top of the list this year with white wardrobes being a must have. Dining room furniture is the next room on the list apparently.
Beauty
Are you a scruff, well if you are 2010 is the year for you as bed hair is set to come into fashion once again, great for people like me. Rather strange is that grey hair and bold eyebrows are set to be in fashion as well as the shaved head, how about shaved head and bold eyebrows. If I were you I wouldnt start to shave your head until spring, you may feel the chill at the moment!
Fitness
At the moment it doesnt look like the way people work out is going to change that much this year, no more 40yr old women trying out pole dancing thank the lord. However group fitness work is set to come in to save a bit of money.
Travel
In terms of taking a vacation it looks like the end for staying in your own country as money comes in again after the recession and we set off to our favourite holiday destinations on a much needed break.
So although money is still going to be tight this year I think it is quite clear by the trends we are likely to see that as a nation we are slowly picking ourselves up from the recession.
